Copper Breaks State Park is located in the Texas panhandle, north of Abilene. The park gets its name from the copper deposits threaded throughout the rugged canyon land. The Visitors Center features exhibits on the Comanche and Kiowa tribes that once roamed the area, including Quanah Parker. The park is also home to the official Texas longhorn herd.
